Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh approved 18 important decisions in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. The most important decision is that they allotted five acres of land in Ayodhya district to the Sunni Central Waqf Board as directed by the Supreme Court. The land is in Dhannipur village in tehsil Sohawal in Ayodhya on the Lucknow highway, about 18 kilometres from the district headquarters.
The Yogi cabinet has taken this decision at a time when the central government has announced a trust for the Ram temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the formation of a trust for the Ram temple in Lok Sabha on Wednesday. According to the decision of SC, the government was to constitute the trust by 9 February.
The PM said in Parliament that 5 acres of land would be allotted to the Sunni Waqf Board in Ayodhya. The UP government has also given its consent. The area built for the construction of the Ram temple has been named “Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra”. On this occasion, PM Narendra Modi said that I am happy to tell this house and the whole country that in the cabinet meeting this morning, important decisions were taken in this direction keeping in mind the orders of the SC.
