Delhi: While there is some relief in the situation at Shaheen Bagh, a new problem came into picture from Zafarabad. Hundreds of women here suddenly gathered on road last night. Chandra Shekhar Azad, the chief of Bhima Army, claims that all these women are sitting here demanding ‘Bharat bandh’ in oppose of CAA. Azad has tweeted that the historic ‘Bharat Bandh’ has begun and the BJP government will realize the power of Bahujans.

People opposing CAA have sat collectively on the lines of Shaheen Bagh near the metro station in Jafrabad, Delhi. Security forces have been deployed there in view of the large number of protesters. After this, the entry and exit gate of Jafrabad metro station has been closed by Delhi Metro. According to DMRC, the metro will not stop at this station.

The protesting women are carrying the tricolor, raising slogans of ‘Azadi’ and demanding the government to withdraw the CAA. In view of law and order, the administration has deployed a heavy police force on the spot. The movement of people has stopped here due to the protesters sitting on the road. According to media reports, the protesters have blocked road number 66 connecting Seelampur to Maujpur and Yamuna Vihar.

It should be noted that Bhima Army also announced the ‘Bharat Bandh’ today. The Bhim Army says that it is in opposition to the Indian Constitution and tampering with reservation. It has also been linked to opposition from CAA and NRC.
