Why is Gujarat Registrar Of Companies’ MK Sahu in cahoots with theft accused bizmen?

Current ROC and previous Office Liquidator, handed over advertising agency work worth crores of rupees to a blacklisted company

MK Sahu, Gujarat Registrar of Companies (ROC) it seems is in cahoots with bizmen accused of theft. Mr Sahu, an ICLS Officer, who is currently posted as Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad, has gone out of his way and empanelled a blacklisted company in the office of “Office Liquidator, Ahmedabad” in a different name and style and gave away work worth crores of rupees. This agency named “Global Networking Advertising” owned by Tejwirsingh Mewasingh Chaudhary and Mr Jaideep Singh Tejvir Chaudhary, are the official advertising agency of Office Liquidator, duly appointed by the then Liquidator, Mr M.K.Sahu. Mr Sahu who despite knowing their shoddy background continued to use their advertising services.

In the year 2004, goods worth Rs2.5 crore was stolen from the office of one Calico Printing Mills in Kaalol GIDC in Panchmahals district, which was under the purview of Office Liquidator, Ahmedabad, where Modern Safeguard and Industrial Personal Security Services Company were deployed to provide security services. This led to filing of FIR No 85/2007 and jail for owners of the company, Mr TV Singh and his son Jaydeep Singh Chaudhary for six months. The security personnel working with Modern Safeguards in the Calico site turned government approver in the case and deposed that the theft was carried out by Modern Safeguard’s owners themselves. High Court of Gujarat ordered to recover an amount of nearly Rs6 crores from the father-son duo and the company and its directors were blacklisted after the role of the owners emerged in the theft case.

Despite the serious theft case, criminal background of these businessmen and blacklisting of their company, Mr Sahu empanelled the same theft accused businessmen’s firm Global Network Advertising in complete violation of rules and regulations and business practices.

As per sources, Mr Sahu’s relation with these men started long back and wherever Mr Sahu was posted – Allahabad, Indore etc.-, the contract to provide security services were given to the company owned by these theft accused businessmen and their company Modern Safeguard.

How Modern Safeguards resurrected itself?

The father-son duo, post the theft case and their arrest and blacklisting, shut down the security business in the name of Modern Safeguard and began Global Network Advertising Agency Firm. The advertising firm, despite the shady past of its owners, was empanelled by the then Liquidator Mr Sahu. Documents accessed by Gujarat Exclusive show that MK Sahu personally helped the father-son duo in getting the contract.

Sahu wanted to help them resurrect the security business too and made sure that the accused TV Singh’s younger son and Jaideep’s brother Devendra Chaudhary floated a security service firm overnight and this company got the contract to provide security services to the office of Office Liquidator, leaving behind many other eligible firms.

As a normal practice, Office of Office Liquidator do advertise in national dailies about its auction notices of properties which are put under auction. Global Network Advertising, being the authorized agency of Office Liquidator, take out such advertisements and notices and it is quite obvious that they will be in know of inside information of such properties which are auctioned. Mr TV Singh and Mr Jaideep Singh allegedly put their “Benamis” to be part of the auction and win the bid at dirt cheap rate, which in turn also helps them in converting their black money into white. It has come to light that one Mr Rahul Bharadwaj, who is a resident of Gandhinagar, acts as Benami of the father-son duo to bid for such valuable properties being auctioned by Office Liquidator.
