While the whole nation is mourning the first anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, politics has also started in this matter. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has hit out at the Centre asking who benefited the most from the attack. Taking it to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi raised questions on the attack that claimed lives of 40 paramilitary personnel.

Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter, “Today as we remember our 40 CRPF martyrs in the #PulwamaAttack , let us ask: Who benefitted the most from the attack? What is the outcome of the inquiry into the attack? Who in the BJP Govt has yet been held accountable for the security lapses that allowed the attack?”

After the terrorist attack on 14 February 2019 in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, many questions were raised. Over 40 CRPF personnel were killed when their convoy was targeted by the suicide bomber of Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pulwama district. Tensions had flared up between India and Pakistan after the convoy of 78 buses, in which around 2500 CRPF personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar, came under attack.
