Amdavadis who missed the third brightest object in the sky on Tuesday can get a second chance to view it today

Amdavadis who missed the third brightest object in the sky – The International Space Station (ISS) – on Tuesday still have a chance to see it again. For, it will be visible once more for six minutes on Wednesday from 7.48 pm onwards.

The ISS is a massive man-made space station for which multiple countries have collaborated.

The ISS passed some 400 kilometres over Gujarat on Tuesday night giving a clear view to people particularly in Ahmedabad and Rajkot.

The ISS was visible as a bright dot at 8:35 pm and vanished some six minutes later on Tuesday.

“Due to its current path, ISS was clearly visible on Tuesday for the people living in Ahmedabad and Rajkot. People in other cities of Gujarat may not have seen it this clearly mainly because the ISS did not pass directly overhead and remained at an angle,” said Narottam Sahoo, an adviser with the Gujarat Council of Science and Technology (GUJCOST) to a news agency.

“Those who have missed it on Tuesday, there is a chance on Wednesday when it will be visible for six minutes, starting from 7:48 pm,” said Sahoo.
