Voters in Baroda increase to 26 lakh after voter list revision program

There is an addition of 9260 new voters in 10 assembly seats of Baroda after the voter list revision program conducted recently in Baroda city and district. While the names of 5310 voters have been deducted. Following the voter list revision program, the number of voters in Baroda city and district has crossed 26 lakhs.

It may be noted that recently the Election Commission had organized a campaign to add new names and make corrections in the voter list. Under the drive, a special campaign was also launched on Sunday. A total of 2,608,674 voters were registered in 10 assembly constituencies of Baroda after verification of the claims by the election officials during the Electoral Roll Correction program. Among these voters, 1334835 are male and 1273839 are female.

According to the information, the names of voters have been removed from the voter list due to various reasons such as death of the voter, repeat or change in their address. Such figure of the voters is 5310. According to the voter list data, the maximum number of new voters have been registered in the Baroda City seat, while the least number of new voters have been registered in the Karjan seat.
