New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached Delhi to begin his road shows in the run up to the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. The biennial event is scheduled for January 2022.
The theme of the 10th edition of the summit is ‘Aatmanirbhar Gujarat to Aatmanirbhar Bharat’. The event scheduled to be held in 2021 was deferred to 2022 due to the Covid-19 situation.
The three-day Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2022 will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar on January 10.
At the beginning of his first road show, Patel had one-to-one meetings with leading industrialists in New Delhi on Thursday.
He met Maruti Suzuki India MD Kenichi Ayukava, Avada Energy Pvt Ltd chairman Vineet Mittal, PI Industries MD and V-C Mayank Singhal, JCB CEO Deepak Shetty, Urban Company CEO Abhiraj Singh Bhal, DCM Shriram Ltd chairman and senior MD Ajay Shriram besides directors of Oyo Hotels and Homes
While assuring the industrialists of complete cooperation for their projects in Gujarat. Patel urged them to bring projects that would generate employment opportunities for locals.
He invited all of them to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, a biennial event showcasing the state as a lucrative investment destination.
Later in the day, Patel is scheduled to meet ambassadors and diplomats of other countries based in Delhi, according to the CMO.
