Gandhinagar: Preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022 are on in full swing. On Thursday, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will participate in a pre-event roadshow in Mumbai.
The summit will be held on January 10-12 in Gandhinagar.
Ahead of the roadshow, Patel will conduct one-on-one meetings with business leaders and prominent industrialists of the city.
He will highlight the distinct features of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
A luncheon has also been organized with the Consulate Generals of leading nations.
Patel will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Finance Minister of Gujarat Kanubhai Desai, Minister of State (Industries) Jagdish Vishwakarma, Chief Principal Secretary to the CM K Kailashnathan, Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, additional chief secretaries, secretaries and other senior officials.
Virtual roadshows for Japan and South Korea in December
A delegation led by Anju Sharma, IAS, Principal Secretary, Labour and Employment Department, Government of Gujarat, will virtually interact and engage with investors, entrepreneurs, and key members of the Indian diaspora as part of the international roadshow ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit
Speaking on the upcoming virtual roadshow, Sharma said, “We look forward to welcoming trade and business delegates from Japan and South Korea to VGGS 2022. We will be showcasing the significant business opportunities to be explored in key industries like green mobility, clean energy, sustainable agriculture, smart infrastructure and mitigating climate change, among others.”
The roadshow will be held in collaboration with the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) for Japan and Korea Trade Promotion Corporation (KOTRA) for South Korea.
Over 150 participants from South Korea and over 200 from Japan have registered for the virtual roadshow. The Indian delegation will comprise heads of 30 Gujarat-based companies with business linkages in Japan and South Korea.
