Vibrant Gujarat: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel meets industrialists in Mumbai


Mumbai: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was in Mumbai on Thursday to participate in the pre-event Vibrant Gujarat Summit roadshow. He had interactive meets with business leaders, prominent industrialists, foreign consulates and delegates.

The 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022 will begin on January 10.

Patel pointed out that when Narendra Modi, who was the CM then, initiated the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in 2003, it was a new experiment for the nation and the world. Today, it is a global brand image to reckon with, he said.

Addressing the leading industrialists and business delegates in Mumbai, he stressed on the dominance of Gujarat as the country’s most preferred investment destination across the globe.

He added that the Gujarat government aimed to attract more investment in sectors such as next-generation infrastructure, energy, digital network, fintech, start-up & innovation, e-vehicles, research and development, knowledge exchange, export, tourism and financial services for sustained socio-economic development.

Gujarat is ready to welcome global and local industries/businesses seeking to re-locate in the post-Covid era, with various industry-friendly policies such as e-vehicle policy, solar policy, etc, Patel said.

He invited financial institutions, fintech companies and start-ups present in the interactive meet to invest and do business in Gujarat’s GIFT City.

Gujarat Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar presented the focus points of the Vibrant Gujarat 2022 theme. Dr Rajiv Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries), made a presentation on highlights of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and the state’s overall development.

Kanubhai Desai, Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Jagdish Vishwakarma, Minister of State (Industries), K Kailashnathan, Chief Principal Secretary to CM, other senior officers from the State Government and leading business delegates also attended the interactive meet.
