There is an atmosphere of excitement in the country about US President Donald Trump’s visit to India. If someone is looking at this tour by linking it with the benefits of America, then someone is considering it positive for India. However, Donald Trump has expressed his displeasure over trade relations with India. However, it is expected that there may be some trade agreements between the two countries during Trump’s visit to India.
‘Trade agreement to be done in future’
US President Donald Trump, who is visiting India next week has said that he will not make any big trade agreement with India right now but will do it in future. Trump also said that he does not know whether the agreement with India will be done before the US presidential elections to be held in November this year. In such a situation, the question now arises whether Trump is just coming to inaugurate Motera Stadium?
Before or after November?
Speaking to reporters in Washington, Trump said, “We can have a trade agreement with India. But I am securing this big deal for the future. We are going to have a very big agreement with India. We will make this agreement but I do not know whether it will happen before the November elections or not, but we will make a big deal with India.” On the other hand, the news agency PTI has said in its report that India and the United States can sign a trade package during Trump’s visit.
‘I like PM Modi’
While speaking to reporters, Trump also said that he is excited about his India tour. He said, “I like Prime Minister Modi very much, he has told me that there will be seven million people between the airport and the event and as I understand that this stadium, which is being built right now is largest stadium in the world.” They told me that there will be seven million people between the airport and the stadium, it will be very exciting.”
Trump is not happy with India
The business relations of America and India are not very good these days. Trump also expressed displeasure over trade relations with India. He said, “India does not behave very well with us but I like Prime Minister Modi very much.” US President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit India from 24-25 February. There is a possibility that Trump may sign a defence agreement with India on this tour rather than a trade deal.
