UP Yogi Adityanath Govt Presented Rs 5.12 Lakh Cr. Budget in State Assembly


The fourth budget of Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh was presented in the State Assembly today. The government has presented a budget of Rs 5.12 lakh Crore for the financial year 2020-21. The budget size is Rs 33,159 Crore more than the last year’s Budget and has provisions worth Rs 10,967.87 crore for the new schemes. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna has presented the biggest budget in the history of UP. Rs 10,967.87 crore new schemes has been presented in this Budget.

3000 crore  for Jal Jeevan Mission in villages

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that a target of getting revenue of Rs 37,500 from excise and 23,197 from stamp and registration and Rs 8,650 crore from vehicle tax. Budget of 3000 crores to Jal Jeevan Mission in villages. Rs 621 crore for Divyang Pension Yojna .

New scheme in the name of Chief Minister Kisan Accident Welfare Scheme

While presenting the budget, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that there will be a new scheme in the name of Chief Minister Kisan Accident Welfare Insurance. 500 crores has been allocated for this. At the same time, it is estimated to get Rs 91,568 crore from GST and VAT.

3000 crores for rural water supply programs

Suresh Khanna said that a budget of 3000 crore for rural water supply programs, 3300 crore for pipe drinking water scheme in quality affected villages of Bundelkhand Vindhya, 300 crore in PWD Purvanchal fund, 210 crore in Bundelkhand fund.

4800 crores for MNREGA scheme

Suresh Khanna said that 4800 crore has been made for MNREGA scheme, 4000 crore fo Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan. The budget also earmarked Rs 180 crore for setting up a cultural centre in Varanasi and Rs 200 crore for expansion and beautification of Kashi Vishwanath temple.

Government gift for sugarcane farmers

The Finance Minister said that the government has given a gift for sugarcane farmers. Budget proposal for sugar mills. Proposal to increase the price of sugarcane to Rs 325 per quintal.

Focus on religious places

For development of the pilgrim city Ayodhya as a tourist spot, the budget has earmarked Rs 85 crore and another Rs 10 crore for renovation of Tulsi Smarak Bhawan there. After the Supreme Court’s decision on Ram Mandir, the UP government has proposed Rs 500 crore for the Ayodhya airport, which will make it convenient for the tourists to travel to the place. That is, about 600 crores has been arranged for the budget Ram Nagari Ayodhya.

Apart from this, 180 crores have been given for the establishment of a culture center in Varanasi. At the same time, there is a provision of 50 crores for the promotion of the tourism unit. There is a provision of Rs 25 crore for water sports in Ramgarh Tal of Gorakhpur. While 200 crores will be given for Kashi Vishwanath temple. Meerut, Ghaziabad, Firozabad, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Mathura-Vrindavan and Shahjahanpur will be developed as smart cities.
