The Uttar Pradesh Raj Bhavan on Tuesday has received a “Maoist” threatening letter to blow up the building with dynamite if Governor Anandi Ben Patel does not leave the Raj Bhavan within ten days. In a press release issued by Raj Bhavan, it was told that this letter was from “TSPC Jharkhand”, an apparent reference to the Maoist group Tritya Sammelan Prastuti Committee.

The statement said that the matter has been taken seriously. Please tell that Hemant Rao, Additional Chief Secretary to Governor Anandi Ben Patel has sent the letter to the Home Department for necessary action.

It is also clearly written in the letter that Governor Anandiben Patel should leave the Raj Bhavan in 10 days in any case. If they do not do this, then the Raj Bhavan of Lucknow will be blown up with dynamite. There has been a stir in the Uttar Pradesh Raj Bhavan after receiving a threatening letter. Taking note of the threatened letter, Additional Chief Secretary Governor Hemant Rao has sent the letter to the Home Department in the original form for necessary action.

Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Kumar Awasthi said the Home Department has taken the matter “very seriously”. He further said in his statement, “The Home Department has taken the matter very seriously and written to the DGP and DG Intelligence and ADG Security to investigate immediately and report by tomorrow after a full assessment of the situation and to take measures as necessary.”
