Unseasonal rain in Gujarat: Khambha in Amreli gets 22 mm in 2 hours

  • 31 taluka of Gujarat received unseasonal rain on Wednesday morning

Gandhinagar: Several parts of the state received unseasonal rain on Wednesday morning.

As per the forecast by India Meteorological Department (IMD), the state is likely to receive rain on December 1 and 2 due to western disturbance.

Between 6 am and 7 am on Wednesday, 31 taluka in the state received rain.

Khambha taluka in Amreli received the highest rainfall, 22 mm, followed by 18 mm in Una in Gir Somnath, 10 mm in Quant in Chhota Udepur.

In Bhavnagar, Shihor received 7 mm and Jesar 4 mm.

Other districts that received rain are Junagadh, Surat, Aravalli, Panchmahals. Anand, Kheda, Anand and Sabarkantha.

Ahmedabad received light drizzle in the morning. The weather remained cloudy through the day.

Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana and Surat are likely to receive heavy rain later on Wedensday.
