Just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, Union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday connected the Indian Constitution with Ramayana.
The Union minister tweeted a photograph of the original document of the Constitution. The document has a sketch illustrating the Ramayana story where Lord Ram, Sita and Laxman return to Ayodhya after defeating Ravan.
Ravi Shankar Prasad tweeted: “Original document of the Constitution of India has a beautiful sketch of Lord Ram, Mata Sita and Laxman returning to Ayodhya after defeating Ravan.”
“This is available at the beginning of the chapter related to Fundamental Rights. Felt like sharing this with you all,” he said.

PM Modi lays foundation stone
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the Ram temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi site amid tight security. Over 175 guests attended the event. PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, UP Governor Anandinben Patel, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat adorned the stage. PM Modi completed the bhoomi pujan rituals at around 1 pm.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated devotees on the occasion of the Ram Mandir’s bhoomi pujan ceremony.
PM Modi shown how disputes can be solved peacefully
UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the power of India’s democratic values and its judiciary has shown the world that how can matters by resolved peacefully, democratically and constitutionally.”
He thanked PM Modi for fulfilling the dreams of generations of Indians who could not see the realisation of their dreams in their lifetime in the form of the Ram Mandir.
Law minister under home quarantine
Union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad is currently under home quarantine after he came in contact with home minister Amit Shah. Amit Shah had tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday and was admitted to Medanta Hospital.
The law minister said he was doing fine and will be running his office from his home. Apart from Prasad, many other ministers and political personalities who came in contact with Amit Shah have gone under quarantine as a precautionary measure.
