Uddhav Thackeray’s First Cabinet Meeting After Taking Oath, Big Announcement for Farmers Soon


Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray’s ‘Action Plan’ soon after taking oath of Chief Minister’s post in Maharashtra. Immediately after his swearing in, he worshiped at the Siddhi Vinayak temple. He then held his first cabinet meeting at Sahyadri Guest House. After the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray while addressing the journalists said that I want to assure the people of the state that we will give a good government to the state. I want to help the farmers, which will make them happy.

Uddhav Thackeray said that the farmers’ problems were discussed in the meeting. However, any decision on the same will be taken after the status report. The Chief Secretary will give information on the status of the farmers in 1-2 days and after that there will be a big announcement for them. In the first cabinet meeting of Uddhav Thackeray, a big decision has been taken regarding the fort of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The CM said that 20 crore rupees have been allocated for the protection of Raigad Fort, the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Talking to the reporters, he said that if we know the reality then we can work towards their betterment. Farmers till now have not received anything except assurance. He said that we want to ensure such an atmosphere in the state where no one will feel terrorized. While talking to media, Uddhav Thackeray was accompanied by cabinet colleagues Chhagan Bhujbal, Jayant Patil, Balasaheb Thorat and Nitin Raut.

It may be noted that farmers have been looking upset for many years due to water shortage in Maharashtra. And a large number of farmers take the path of suicide. In such a situation, most farmers have much expectations from the new government. But it will be interesting to see how much the farmers of Maharashtra benefit from this coalition government.
