The Citizenship Amendment Bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha and it is expected that on Wednesday, the Modi government can present it in Rajya Sabha. But the bill was easily passed in Lok Sabha. It will not be easy in Rajya Sabha because before the introduction of the bill in Rajya Sabha, the parties supporting Lok Sabha have increased the troubles of the BJP by placing a condition in front of BJP.
Due to the coming together of JDU, Shiv Sena, BJD and some parties in the Northeast in favor of the Citizenship Amendment Bill, the Government had no problem in passing this bill in the Lok Sabha. But Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has placed a condition to support in Rajya Sabha. Uddhav Thackeray said that whoever is opposing the Citizenship Amendment Bill, it is an illusion to consider all of them as traitors.Only BJP can take care of the country, this is also an illusion. Where and in which state will the refugees be kept? All these things should be clear. Simultaneously, Shiv Sena said that refugees should not be given the right to vote for 25 years.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray: If any citizen is afraid of this Bill than one must clear their doubts. They are our citizens so one must answer their questions too. https://t.co/aB8LQSrmxE

After coming together with Shiv Sena in Lok Sabha, it seemed that the government will not have any problem in passing this bill in Rajya Sabha. In such a way, now the Shiv Sena chief has laid the conditions, after that the equation will have to be introduced in Rajya Sabha. Shivsena may have 3 Rajya Sabha members, but Uddhav Thackeray’s condition is on the basis that the other parties can mix the tone of Shiv Sena. If this happens, it will be a big challenge for the Modi government to get it passedthe bill in Rajya Sabha.
There are 245 total members in Rajya Sabha, but five seats are vacant. Due to which the total number of members is 240 at present. This means that if all the members of house vote then 121 votes will be required for a majority. But the Modi government has 119 votes in Rajya Sabha.
Won’t support Bill till we get clarity on Sena queries
