A set of twins, who were born to a COVID-19 positive mother and had themselves tested positive later on, have now recovered from the disease, local media reports said. The new born recovered from the disease after 10 days of constant treatment at the hospital in Vadnagar. They were declared as COVID-19 free on Thursday and are likely to be discharged on Friday. Sources said the parents are also eager to meet the twins.
A day after the brother and sister were born, the baby boy had tested positive for the disease while his sister’s report was negative.
The one-day old baby boy thus became the youngest in the state to have tested positive for coronavirus. Later the baby girl had also tested positive.
