Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are giving a strong reply to the common man and opposition opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act. They are saying that despite all the opposition around the world, we are still firm on our decision and will be in the coming days. On the other hand the state government is constantly passing a resolution in the assembly and opposing this law and demanding to withdraw it. Meanwhile, Telangana State Assembly will pass a resolution against the CAA.
This was announced late Sunday night after the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. The cabinet decided to pass a resolution the way Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and West Bengal did, said a statement after nearly seven-hour long meeting at Pragati Bhavan, the official residence of the Chief Minister.
During this time, it has been decided in the meeting that the anti-CAA resolution will be passed in the state assembly. Like Kerala, Punjab and West Bengal have passed. Earlier in the month of January, Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao had a meeting with all the regional parties in opposition to this bill. After this meeting, it has been decided that the state government can pass the bill against this bill in the state assembly. Just like it has been passed in other state assembly.
