Suspicious suicide: Retired BSNL employee jumps from 5th floor of building in Ghatlodia, was on fire too

A case of suspicious suicide has been reported from the Samarpan Towers in the Ghatlodia area of the city. A man jumped from the fifth floor of the building and died on the spot.

It seems like suicide but what has raised suspicion is the fact that the body of the man was on fire when he took the plunge.

As per case details, Jay Prakash, 65 jumped from the fifth floor of the Samarpan building in Ghatlodia. He is survived by his wife and two children. Police said the man left behind a suicide note in Malayalam which purportedly says no one is to be blamed for the incident. He was a retired employee of BSNL and suffered from BP and diabetes.

The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. They are also getting the letter translated.

Police said of his two daughters one is married and settled in Canada while the other lives in Naroda area of the city. The incident happened at 4 am when his wife was still asleep.
