A citizen has uploaded a video showing tiny insects in the food being given to him at Gotri Hospital in Vadodara after he went for a COVID-19 test. Bhavin Patanvadiya, a resident of Padra, in Vadodara had gone to get himself tested after he and his wife began to show COVID-19 symptoms. He said that he was at the hospital for over two hours where he did not even get water. Later when he was given food, he found tiny insects in them.

He also alleged in the video that both the administration and civic body refused to answer to his questions on the poor quality of food. He had also said that when he first called the concerned health officer, the latter advised him to get tested in a private facility as the government facility would take three days for the test to be done.

Earlier, a citizen in Ahmedabad had released a similar video after the Civil Hospital called him informing him that his father had tested positive and was shifted to the COVID-19 ward. The citizen had already lost his father and had also cremated him after the hospital had given them his body a fortnight ago.
