A notification has been issued by the Gujarat Government for the candidates who want to appear for the non-secretarial clerk examination. In which the graduate degree is mentioned compulsory for this exam.

It may be recalled that in the examination of the non-secretarial clerk, held on November 17, the government had mandated a bachelor degree. However, after protests, the government withdrew its decision and decided to let Class 12 pass outs appear for the exams.

However, the state government has made major changes in terms of future recruitment for class 3 posts, bachelor’s degree will be mandatory. The class 12 pass outs will not be eligible for class 3 level posts, after these changes. In addition, the state government has increased their maximum age limit to 35 years.

In addition, basic knowledge of computer is required as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Gujarati and English have also been required and also have a data entry speed of 5,000 characters per hour.
