Ahmedabad: Anuj Patel, son of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, was yesterday admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad following a brain stroke. On Monday, he was flown to Mumbai by air ambulance for further treatment. Anuj Patel will be treated at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. Governor Acharya Dev Vrat, Gujarat BJP President CR Patil and Parimal Nathwani reached the hospital today morning to enquire about his health.

CM not to attend celebrations in Jamnagar
Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel will not be able to attend the programs organized in Jamnagar today on the occasion of Gujarat Pride Day celebrations due to ill health of his son Anuj. Governor Acharya Devvrat along with Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel will participate in Gujarat Pride Day events in his absence.
Anuj Patel was admitted for treatment in the hospital after his health deteriorated at yesterday afternoon. On receiving the information about the incident, Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel had reached KD Hospital. Anuj, later, he underwent a surgery, the hospital informed that Anuj Patel’s health is improving.
According to the information available earlier, Anuj suffered a brain stroke yesterday afternoon after his blood pressure hiked suddenly. According to sources, Anuj has been operated. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, his wife and family members were present at the hospital. Anuj Patel may be kept in the hospital for the next three days. Following to which CM Patel postponed his programs. Reportedly, the brain stroke was caused by a blood clot or lack of oxygen in the brain.
