During the Delhi assembly elections, senior Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Shivanand Tiwari attacked the Modi government at the slogan ‘Shoot the traitors of the country…’. He has requested PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah that if they like it, then it should be made a national anthem.
RJD senior leader Shivanand Tiwari said, Anurag Thakur had introduced this slogan (‘Shoot the traitors of the country….’). He is present as a respected member of his cabinet. This means that the Prime Minister of our country is very fond of this slogan, so we said that it should be converted into a national anthem.
It may be noted that Union Minister of State for Finance and BJP leader Citizenship Amendment Act had allegedly given a hate speech in connection with the ongoing protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act in Shaheen Bagh, Delhi. At a rally in Rithala on January 27, Thakur launched a slogan ‘Shoot the traitors’, targeting the anti-CAA protesters. There was a lot of ruckus on it. After this, a strange atmosphere has been created in Delhi about this slogan, yet BJP leader Kapil Mishra had also organized a peace march and many controversial slogans were raised in this march.
