Jamaat-e-Islami has joined the Shiv Sena towards the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Citizenship Register (NRC). Shiv Sena chief and MP Sanjay Raut may also attend the occasion held in Mumbai today. Explain that the occasion is being organized collectively by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Mumbai, Marathi Journalists Association and Association of Protection of Civil Rights.
The Mumbai president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind said that Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has accepted the invitation to join the event against CAA and NRC and said that he will come to attend the event. Apart from Raut, former Bombay HC judge BG Kolse Patil, senior counsel Mihir Desai and senior advocate Yusuf Muchchala will debate the relationship between the CAA and the NRC and understand their constitutional implications.
