Former chief minister of Gujarat, Shankersinh Vaghela, has made some changes in his twitter account that has set tongues wagging. Vaghela whose Twitter account earlier identified him as National General Secretary NCP, State President, and former Gujarat Chief minister has now deleted the former two designations. His Twitter bio now reads as just former Gujarat Chief Minister.
This has got netizens in a buzz that perhaps the seasoned politician has left the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and is heading to create another new party perhaps.
Vaghela when contacted by Gujarat Exclusive said that he is still associated with the NCP. “I continue to be the national general secretary of the party. Earlier, I was both the general secretary as well as the Gujarat state president of the party. But now Jayant Patel has been appointed as the state president of the party,” said Vaghela.
He reiterated that he is still with the NCP. Vaghela has been in the news recently for trying to help several citizens who were unable to get COVID-19 test despite showing symptoms.
