New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) seems to have picked up another “rumour” regarding an election-bound state. This time it is Gujarat. And, not surprisingly, the party is taking credit for BJP “running from pillar to post”.
In a tweet on Thursday afternoon, AAP mentioned rumours that Union Home Minister Amit Shah might be the BJP’s CM candidate in the state which is scheduled to go for Assembly elections later this year.
“Rumours brewing that @AmitShah might be the BJP’s CM Candidate from Gujarat. Is BJP not happy with the work of @Bhupendrapbjp Bhai Patel? BJP is running from pillar to post in fear of AAP. They don’t know what to do to handle AAP’s phenomenal growth in Gujarat,” the tweet read.
Earlier this year, AAP had quoted “reliable sources” that Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur would be replaced by Union minister Anurag Thakur as the BJP was scared of Arvind Kejriwal. Himachal will be going to polls later this year. Meanwhile, Jai Ram Thakur continues to be the CM of the northern state.
