North Gujarat, South Gujarat and Surashtra may witness cloudy weather and potential rains in the next five days, the met department has said. Sabarkantha, Aravali, Banaskantha, Panchmahals, Amdavad, Valsad, Dang and Daman are some of the places that may see rain in the coming days.
It should be noted that both Daman and Vapi have been experiencing heavy rains in the last few days. Ahmedabad had also got some showers and had experienced strong winds as part of the pre-monsoon activity. In all the 131 districts of the state had experienced monsoon showers in the last 24 hours.
The highest rainfall was recorded in Halvad taluka in Morbi which saw 85mm of rainfall followed by Morbi that recorded 71 mm of rainfall. In Ahmedabad Sanand recorded the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours receiving 30 mm of rainfall followed by Dholka that received 27 mm of rainfall. Several parts of Gujarat have been experiencing strong winds and rains since Cyclone Nisarga.
