Several Injured As Slab of the Footover Bridge Collapsed at Bhopal Railway Station

A major accident occurred on Thursday morning at the railway station of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. A portion of shed on an over-bridge collapsed on passengers waiting on the platform. The shed and portions of the ramp fell collapsed and fell on the passengers. This accident happened when there was a large crowd of people at the railway station on Thursday morning. After this incident on platform number 3, there was a sudden stampede at the station. Those injured in the accident have been admitted to Hamidia Hospital.

At least 6-7 people have been injured after portion of a footover bridge at Bhopal railway station collapsed. The injured have been sent to a hospital and after getting the information of the accident, railway officials and police teams reached the spot and are doing rescue work.

According to the information, the accident occurred on the platform number 3. Commenting on the incident, Railway PRO IA Siddiqui said, “A small portion of the slab of the footover bridge collapsed. 7-8 people injured. There have been no grievous injuries, there is no casualty either. We will investigate the matter and action will be taken against the people responsible for it.”
