Actor couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor on Wednesday announced a good news. The couple is expecting its second child together after three-year-old Taimur, who is a heartthrob of the paparazzi.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in a joint statement announced that: “We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family!! Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support.”
Coincidentally, today is the birthday of Sara Ali Khan as well. Sara, who was born from Saif Ali Khan’s first marriage with Amrita Singh, turned 25.
Speculations on Kareena’s pregnancy
A few days ago, Kareena posted a video of herself eating a burger while binge-watching Friends. She wrote, “Now that’s a Sunday binge on acid! Friends on my iPad, the best burger in my hand by my bestest producer ever… thank you @rheakapoor for always supporting my stomach (no pun intended) Love you (sic).”
In the video, Kareena looked like she had put on a little weight. While many people on social media speculated she was pregnant, others thought it was just the lockdown effect.
Saif turns ‘quadfather’
Saif Ali Khan is going to be a father for the fourth time. Apart from Taimur, he has two more children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, with his first wife, Amrita Singh.
Saif Ali Khan was previously married to actress Amrita Singh for thirteen years. They got divorced in 2004.
Soha Ali Khan congratulates couple
Minutes after the couple shared the big news, Saif Ali Khan’s sister and actress Soha Ali Khan congratulated the couple on social media. She shared a picture of Saif and titled it “The Quadfather.” In her post, Soha wrote: “Couldn’t resist! Congratulations Kareena Kapoor. Be safe and healthy and radiant as ever.”
On the work front, Saif starred in the period drama ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ and comedy-drama ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ in 2020. Saif’s line-up of films includes Hunter and Bhoot Police.
Similalrly, Kareena was seen in ‘Angrezi Medium’ that also starred late actor Irrfan Khan. She will feature next in Karan Johar’s period drama ‘Takht’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which is a remake of the 1994 film Forrest Gump.
