Notably, an Indian flag outside Indian High Commission in London, UK, was pulled down by a group of pro-Khalistan supporters and even the embassy was vandalized there.
Describing the aftermath of the incident, Jaishankar said, “ Immediately an even bigger flag was put right up there giving a strong message to Khalistanis and Britain.” He added,” You might have noticed the incidents, of pulling down tricolor, took place in London, Canada, Australia and San Francisco recently. “There is today a different India, an India which is very responsible, but which is also very firm,” he added.
Following the incident in London, India registered its strong protest with the British government over the safety of its diplomatic mission and questioned the lack of sufficient security on the premises.
