Moscow: A day after announcing withdrawal of a few troops from Ukraine border, Russia on Wednesday announced the end of military drills in Crimea.

According to reports, the soldiers had begun returning to their garrisons.

Tanks and other military equipment, too, were seen being moved out of Crimea.

Russian defence ministry released a video reportedly showing tanks and other military vehicles leaving Crimea across a railway bridge. It added that some of the troops would return to their permanent bases.

The situation at the Ukrainian border has been tense for past some time.

On Tuesday, the Indian Embassy in Kyiv advised its nationals to leave the country temporarily.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden once again warned Russia against any invasion of Ukraine, a possibility the latter has vehemently denied, saying that the US and its NATO allies would respond decisively if such an invasion happened.
