Anand: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani laid the foundation stone of the Shri Swaminarayan Temple-run hostel and temple in Vallabh Vidyanagar in presence of Acharya Maharaj Shri Rakeshprasadji. Approximately 1,000 students will be provided accommodation and food at the hostel for free.
According to the authorities, the hostel will be a boon for students from the lower income groups.
Speaking on the occasion, Rupani said that development is not possible without education. He lauded the efforts of Vadtal Swaminarayan sect in the field of education. He shared that the state government has been striving towards providing world-class education here. This, he said, would help realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of ‘Aatmanirbhar’ India
Rupani added that besides academics, the students would also learn value education at the gurukul.
He added that the Vadtal temple has always supported the government during tough times, be it the Covid pandemic or cyclones.
Several leaders of the sect also spoke on the occasion, lauding the initiative as well as appreciating CM Rupani’s efforts towards development of Gujarat.
Acharya Maharaj Shri Rakeshprasadji said that with the right education and values, students will become righteous citizens of the country.
On the occasion, Satsang mahasabha chief Shastri Nautam Prakashdasji, Vadtal Temple committee chairman Dev Prakash Swami, Lok Sabha MP Mitesh Patel, chief whip of Government of Gujarat Pankaj Desai, former MP Dilip Patel, principal donor Arjan Dholakia and others remained present on the occasion
