Independence Day: Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani to unfurl Tricolour in Junagadh on August 15

Gandhinagar: The state-level celebrations of the 75th Independence Day of India will be held in Junagadh, the government said on Friday. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will be on a two-day tour of the district on August 14-15, during which he will attend events at the district headquarters.

The event on August 14 will be held at Junagadh Agriculture University campus. Along with Rupani, Governor Acharya will attend the event. They will then attend a cultural programme titled ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at the JAU cricket ground at 6.30 pm.

The next day, the CM will unfurl the Tricolour at the Parade Ground on Bilkha Road at 9.30 am, after which he will address the public.

On the occasion, Rupani will hand over 10,000 body-worn cameras and 15 drone cameras to the Gujarat police to equip them to protect the citizens more effectively.
