After major Cabinet revamp, this is how Modi 2.0 govt looks like

  • Jyotiraditya Scindia gets Civil Aviation in new Cabinet; Mansukh Mandaviya made health minister

New Delhi: Following a major overhaul on Wednesday, the Narendra Modi government’s new Cabinet now has 78 members. It has several younger faces and has representation from various social groups and regions.

The youngest minister is Nisith Pramanik, 35. There are seven more women now in the government, taking their total number to 11.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has now got Ministry of Cooperation as well.

Jyotiraditya Scindia has been made civil aviation minister

While Smriti Irani will be Minister of Women and Child Development, Piyush Goyal will be minister of textiles, commerce & Industry and consumer affairs, food and public distribution.

Mansukh Mandaviya has been made health minister. His predecessor Harsh Vardhan had resigned from the post earlier on Wednesday. Mandaviya will also keep Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Ashwini Vaishnaw has been named railway minister, replacing Piyush Goyal. He will also hold the portfolios of communications as well as electronics and information technology.
