Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the ground-breaking ceremony rituals for the Ram temple in Ayodhya for around 2 hours on Wednesday. PM Modi will be laying the foundation stone for the Ram temple amid the presence of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
The prime minister will fly for Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow at around 9.30 am on a special jet. Thereafter, he will take a chopper to reach Ayodhya, which has been decked up for the grand event.
PM Modi’s entourage to reach Ayodhya at 11.30 am
As per the prime minister’s itinerary, PM Modi and his entourage will be landing in Ayodhya at 11.30 am. He will then offer prayers and perform puja at the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya.
Prime Minister Modi will be reaching the Ram Janmabhoomi Sthal for the main ground-breaking ceremony around noon. Religious rituals for the mega event had already begun on Monday, two days ahead of the main ground-breaking event.
PM to lay foundation stone at 12.40 pm
The laying of the foundation stone of Ram Mandir will be done at 12.40 pm. The ceremony will go on for about 1.5 hours, which will be attended by Prime Minister Modi.
Around 2 pm, PM Modi will start his return journey from Ayodhya and take the chopper back to Lucknow.
UP CM requests people not to visit Ayodhya
Barricades are already in place in the temple town. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued an appeal, asking only those invited for Wednesday’s ceremony to come to Ayodhya.
The UP CM spent hours reviewing the arrangements for the ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi, where the temple will be constructed following the go-ahead last year by the Supreme Court.
Prayers at Hanumangarhi temple
Twelve priests on Monday conducted prayers dedicated to Lord Ganesh. This was to be followed by prayers to the deities of the dynasties of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. On Tuesday, prayers will be offered at Ayodhya’s Hanumangarhi temple.
175 invites sent
The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra general secretary on Monday said 175 eminent guests have been invited for the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
