Ahmedabad: Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that there will be 15 trustees in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, out of which one trustee will be from Dalit society. He made this announcement through his Twitter account on Wednesday. Shah wrote, “There will be 15 trustees in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust out of which one trustee will always be from the Dalit society.” Shah further wrote in his tweet, “I would like to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his commitment to Lord Shri Ram’s temple, a symbol of India’s faith and unwavering faith.” Today is a day of great joy and pride for the whole of India.
Home Minister Amit Shah said, “As per the order of the Supreme Court on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, today the Government of India has taken a historic decision to build a trust in the name of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, showing its commitment towards the construction of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya.”
Before Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that the cabinet has passed a proposal to set up a trust for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. He told that this trust will be completely free to decide on the construction of the grand and divine Shri Ram temple at Lord Sri Ram’s birthplace in Ayodhya. Last year, on November 9, Supreme Court had directed the government to form a trust during the historic decision on the Ram temple issue.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi told in the Lok Sabha, “My government has prepared a comprehensive plan for the construction of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya and other subjects related to it. According to the orders of the Supreme Court, a resolution has been passed to constitute an autonomous trust Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra.”
