The effect of the Citizenship Amendment Act passed in the Winter Session of Parliament is now visible in the budget session as well. Opposition is also in a mood to surround the government by firing in Jamia area.
As soon as Lok Sabha began the opposition MPs started raising slogans against the firing in Jamia area of Delhi and Shaheen Bagh. MPs are raising slogans like stop shooting. Apparently, an unidentified people opened fire in Jamia area on Sunday night. Earlier, two other incidents have also occurred where a case of bullying and open firing of people protesting against the CAA came to light. Opposition wants to discuss this situation inside the House.
The proceedings of Rajya Sabha have been postponed till noon. Earlier, other opposition parties including the Congress had given notice of the adjournment motion and demanded a discussion on issues like security of the country regarding the protests against the CAA and the continuous firing in Jamia.
