Ahmedabad: This year’s elections for the new members of the Rajpath Club managing committee have been rendered unnecessary. All 10 candidates who had filed their nominations were declared uncontested winners on Tuesday, which was the last day for filing nominations.

This time, there are two new faces among the 10 candidates. These are Anil Maneklal Shah and Manoj Rohibhai Patel alias Mukhi.

The 47 annual general body meeting will be held on August 26. Thirty members of the Rajpath Club managing committee are elected for three years. Every year, elections for 10 seats are held on a rotational basis. This year, there were reports of the elections to be held between August 23 and 25. The filing of nominations was to be done between August 5 and 10, while August 12 was to be the last day for withdrawing nominations. The scrutiny of nominations was scheduled for August 13.

But only 10 nominations were filed for the 10 seats. Thus all candidates were declared uncontested winners. Eight of these 10 are already members of the committee, while there are two new faces this time.

The 10 new members are

  1. Anil Shah
  2. Dilip Patel
  3. Kirankumar Vasani
  4. Manoj Patel (Mukhi)
  5. Mishal Patel
  6. Mukesh Patel
  7. Pragjibhai Kakadiya
  8. Rajiv Shah

  10. Rakshit Patel
