Rajasthan patients compelled for treatment in neighboring states including Gujarat: Know the reason

Doctors’ strike against right to health bill has entered on 13th day today in Rajasthan. Due to the strike, health services have been disrupted and completely collapsed in the region. Doctors say that they will not conclude the strike till Gehlot Government withdraws the bill. Meanwhile, the problems for such doctors are going to increase shortly, as Rajasthan Human Rights Commission has ordered to register a case against the doctors on strike.

Amid such a worse situation the people, who are sick, suffer more. Their situation is very pitiable. Due to strike some patients have become very serious, by health, in Rajasthan. Some patients are waiting for the strike to conclude, while some move to the neighboring states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh for their treatment. Private doctors demand withdrawal of the Right to Health Bill passed in the state assembly. According to them, the government officials will interfere more in functioning of private hospitals due to the bill.

With demand for complete withdrawal of the bill, all private hospitals are closed in the state. Private hospital doctors have also discontinued their OPD and emergency services. On account of the strike, some patients have been shifted from private hospitals to government hospitals, while some patients who do not have an emergency are waiting for the strike to come to an end. The health services of Rajasthan have collapsed on account of the strike.
