The Rajasthan government has decided not to conduct undergraduate and postgraduate examinations in state universities this year. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted in Hindi the decision to cancel all university exams this year following a high-level meeting on Sunday. The decision will be applicable to all universities, colleges and technical educational institutions in the state.

He said all students will be promoted without exams and a score will be given out as per the education ministry’s guidelines that will be out in a few days. This comes days after several universities in the state announced the commencement of undergraduate and postgraduate exams from July 15 onwards. All educational activities in schools and colleges were suspended in March after a lockdown was imposed to curb the rise in COVID-19 cases.
