A painful accident has occurred in Rajasthan. Twenty four died when a mini bus packed with over two dozen wedding guests plunged into the Mej River in Lakheri region of Rajasthan’s Bundi district Wednesday morning, officials said.
According to media reports, a private bus carrying a procession on the Kota-Lalsot highway in Bundi district fell into the river, killing about 24 people and injuring 4. There were 28 people in the bus, who were going from Kota to attend the Sawai Madhopur wedding ceremony. Police arrived on the spot is engaged in relief work. All the top officers including the subdivision officers have reached. It is being told that the speed of the bus was very fast. As the driver’s balance deteriorated, the bus table filled with wedding guests fell into the river. All the people on the bus are residents of Kota.
13 people died on the spot, while 10 died on the way to the hospital. Those who died in this accident include 11 men, 10 women and three children. The injured were admitted to the Lakheri Government Hospital, where their condition is said to be critical.
