Mumbai: An official of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Maharashtra, has said that the department had received four emails from Yash Thakur, who is an accused in the pornography case in which actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has been accused of creating and publishing porn content, according to news agency ANI.
In these mails, Thakur had alleged that Kundra had bribed Mumbai police officers with Rs 25 lakh to not arrest him, the official was quoted as saying.
He added that a similar amount had been demanded from him, too.
The official reportedly added that Thakur’s allegations, both of bribe being sought from him and of Kundra paying Rs 25 lakh, were vague and hence had been forwared to Mumbai police on April 30 for further action.
Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 for creating and uploading porn content of certain sites. He was later sent to three-day police custody.
