Meteorological Department (MD) has predicted rain with gusty winds and lightning for next four days in Gujarat. Unseasonal rain has been recorded in 64 taluks of state in last 24 hours. Five taluks have received an inch or more rain. Gondal in Rajkot recorded 1.5 inch, Dhrol in Jamnagar 1.5 inch and Morbi and several taluks in Saurashtra have received 1.5 inch rain.

According to the forecast by MD, rain is likely to occur in almost all areas of Gujarat. The rain has been predicted in Saurashtra, Kutch, North Gujarat, Central and South Gujarat. MD hs predicted rain with thunder in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar districts.
Kutch, Rajkot, Amreli, Junagadh of Saurashtra may also experience rain with gusty winds. Rain has also been predicted in Saba kantha, Patan, Mehsana of North Gujarat. While South Gujarat has not recorded rain in the last 24 hours. But, MD has predicted rain in coming days in South Gujarat. According to forecast Surat, Valsad, Navsari, Bharuch and Narmada will experience a few spells of rain.
Besides, Meteorological Department has issued an advisory amid the forecast of heavy rains and stormy winds. People have been instructed to avoid unnecessary outgoing.
Under the effect of Western disturbance in Rajasthan, weather has been changed in Gujarat. South Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch will be affected by unseasonal rain. Under the effect of Western disturbance over the atmosphere of the state there will be unseasonal rain. Due to the possibility of unseasonal rain in the end of April, the temperature may decrease. People may get relief from the scorching heat. According to MD, there will be unseasonal rain from April 29 to May 3.
