- Congress MP Rahul Gandhi later cycled to the Parliament with other MPs as mark of protest against rising prices of fuel
New Delhi: At the breakfast meeting of all leaders of Opposition on Tuesday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi called for the Opposition to unite their forces and raise their voices against the government.
Rahul Gandhi had invited the parliamentarians on Tuesday morning to discuss their strategy for the monsoon session. He hosted members of 14 Opposition parties. AAP and BSP members reportedly stayed away.
“The single-most important thing in my view is that we unite this force. The more this voice (of the peope) unites, the more powerful it will become, the more difficult it will become for BJP-RSS to supress it,” he said.
The Opposition has been demanding a discussion on Pegasus snooping row and other issues, accusing the government of not allowing it

Both Houses of Parliament adjourned till 2 pm
With disruptions continuing on Tuesday as well, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha had to be adjourned again.
Before the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm, chairman Venkaiah Naidu urged the government and the Opposition parties to resolve the stalemate that has prevented the Parliament from functioning smoothly.
In the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at the Opposition for their conduct and insulting the legislature and the Constitution.
Both Houses were adjourned till 2 pm. Earlier in the day, they had been adjourned till 12 noon after ruckus over various issues.
