Panchmahals: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi arrived in Dahod in Gujarat on Tuesday where he addressed an Adivasi Satyagraha rally in Dahod in the morning.

He later met tribal leaders of the state.

He remarked that tribal rights had been supressed for many years and that the Congress would continue to fight until the tribals got their dues.

He said that BJP had mocked the MNREGA scheme, but it was this scheme that had helped several people survive during Covid.

He said he was hearing for the first time that permission was required for “andolan” (agitation).

“Nowhere else in the world is permission required for andolan,” he said.

He pointed out that Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani was jailed for 3 months. “Even if he is jailed for 10 years, it won’t affect hi, Rahul Gandhi said.

He also expressed confidence that Congress would form the next government in Gujarat after the state elections.

Hardik meets Rahul

Laying to rest all doubts regarding his presence at Rahul Gandhi’s rally, Patidar leader and Gujarat Congress working president Hardik Patel attended the event in Dahod.

Hardik, said to be miffed with the state unit of the party, has said in the past that he has no problem with Rahul or Priyanka Gandhi.
