Citing former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s attempt to unify the opposition in 2019, Kishor said that the Bihar CM is trying to do the same thing. “Nitish Kumar has a ‘langdi sarkaar’ (crippled government)…but CM of Andhra Pradesh was in majority. ,” Kishor said while talking to media in Patna. He (Chandrababu Naidu) started this role (of Nitish Kumar) saying he will unite everybody. But the result for the same was different, 23 of his MLAs won and he was out of the power. Nitish Kumar must worry about Bihar.”
He added, “The party which has zero MPs, they are deciding the country’s prime minister…The one who has no place (in politics)…he’s uniting everyone.”
Election strategist Prashant Kishor further said, “ Nitish Kumar ji went to Calcutta. Are Lalu-Nitish ready to say they will contest TMC elections in Bihar? They will also give a seat. Mamata Banerjee knows Nitish Kumar better than us. Who knows Nitish Kumar there?”
On Monday, Nitish Kumar, along with his deputy Tejashwi Yadav met his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav – pitching for a united Opposition. Kumar had also met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi earlier to build a united opposition platform.
