Mumbai: Prabhakar Sail, a witness in the drug seizure case in which Aryan Khan had been named, died of cardiac arrested at his house in Mahul area of Chembur in Mumbai on Friday afternoon.
He is survived by his mother, wife and two children.
His lawyer Tushar Khandare, who confirmed the death, said the family does not suspect any foul play in his death.
Prabhakar Sail was the personal security guard of KP Gosawi, also a witness in the case where Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for his alleged involvement in a drug racket. In October last year, they had raided a Mumbai-Goa cruise ship on which Aryan was present and found drugs on board.
Sail had claimed that the NCB had demanded Rs 25 crore from Shahrukh to let go off his son. This sum was later settled at Rs 18 crore, of which Rs 8 crore was to be paid to NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede.
He had also claimed that the NCB officials had asked him to sign blank papers.
