PM Modi Welcomes US President at ‘Namaste Trump’ Event, Says ‘Long Live India-US Friendship’

US President Donald Trump arrived in Ahmedabad for a two-day trip in India is accompanied by his wife Melania, daughter Ivanka, son-in -law Jared Kushner and his delegation. PM Modi and Donald Trump arrive at Motera Stadium. Over one lakh people were present at the stadium to welcome the US President. PM Modi welcomed US President Trump at ‘Namaste Trump’ event with chants of ‘Long Live India-US friendship’.

“History is in the making at Motera Stadium. Five months ago, I began my US journey with ‘Howdy Modi’ event at Houston. And today, my friend President Donald Trump is beginning his journey with ‘Namaste Trump’. I welcome you to world’s biggest democracy,” said Modi.

“One is the land of the free, the other considers the whole world its guest. There is the statue of liberty in US and we have the Statue of Unity. Our rich diversity, the unity within this diversity and vibrancy of diversity is shared between India and US. President Trump has a huge vision. The world knows what he has done for USA. It is a great honour to have Melania Trump in India. You have worked for a Healthy America,” says PM Modi.

PM Modi opens with her speech at Motera Stadim with the relations between India and US are now greater and closer relationship and shares his happiness that ties both the countries together.
