PM Modi to Address Rally in Assam to Celebrate Signing of Bodo Pact

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Assam’s Kokrajhar today to address a public rally in celebration of the Bodo settlement pact recently signed between the Centre, state and nine Bodo organisations including four rebel factions of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB). The Bodo accord was signed on January 27 by the government in New Delhi. Major preparations have been made to welcome PM. In recognition of Bodo peace Assam people expressed their happiness by burning millions of lamps in Kokrajhar district.

It has not been long since PM Narendra Modi had to scheduled the summit with Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe to be held in Guwahati in December, was cancelled due to the Anti-CAA protest. But another decision by the central government completely lifted the picture. Has changed. In Kokrajhar, people expressed their happiness on Thursday and burnt earthen lamps in the streets and streets. The All Bodo Student Union (ABSU) also took out a bike rally in Kokrajhar. Strong preparations have been made to welcome PM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Kokrajhar in Assam, during which he will attend an event to celebrate the signing of the Bodo Accord. This will be the Prime Minister’s first Northeast tour since the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) began last December.
