Delhi: PM Narendra Modi, on Thursday, virtually flagged off first Vande Bharat Express train connecting Dehradun with New Delhi. On the occasion PM Modi said, “This Vande Bharat Express train between Delhi and Dehradun will connect the capital of the country at a faster pace. With this train, the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun will be considerably reduced. The facilities in the train are going to make this journey enjoyable.”

PM Modi said,” Before few hours I have returned from visit of 3 nations. The World is looking at India with great hope. The way we have strengthened our economy, the way we are fighting poverty has inspired the confidence across the world. The manner in which Uttarakhand is carrying forward the campaign of development keeping law and order paramount is commendable.”
PM Modi lambasting at the opposition on the occasion said, “Previous govts only cared about dynasties. They did not understand the necessities of the common man. They aimed only on scams, corruption and nepotism. The earlier governments only made promises and never fulfilled them. The railway sector was also ignored by them (previous govt). Many years passed away, they did not remove unmanned crossings from rail network.”
PM Modi said, work on the Char Dham Grand Project with a cost of 12,000 crore rupees is going on at a fast pace. PM Modi added, ” Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will become the center of attraction for the spiritual consciousness of the whole world in the coming days and we have to shape it’s development as per future demands. He said, since 2014, Government has transformed the Indian railways.”
